We provide four different American Red Cross certification courses throughout the year, available to both Pacific Clinic members and the local community. These empower individuals with life-saving skills, boost career readiness, and foster confidence in emergencies.

Course Info

CPR/First Aid/ AED Certification, Babysitting Course, Lifeguard Certification Courses, and Lifeguard Recertification in Kennewick.

CPR/First Aid/ AED Training

This course equips students to recognize and care for various first-aid breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants. It is designed for students who need a certification that satisfies OSHA workplace or other regulatory requirements.

A valid 2-year digital certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED is issued upon successful completion.

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Cost:

Members: $100 + tax

Non-Members: $125 + tax

Ages: 16+

Babysitting Course

Learn the skills to start and operate a safe babysitting business! This in-person training works on leadership development and teaches the necessary skills to care for young children.

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

 

Cost:

Members: $100 + tax

Non-Members: $125 + tax

 

Ages: 11 - 15

 

 

2024 Dates:

March 9, June 15, September 7, December 7

Lifeguard Certification Course

This 40-hour course teaches the skills to become a certified American Red Cross lifeguard. It covers the duties and responsibilities of a lifeguard and how to carry them out in a professional manner. It covers rescues, first aid, CPR / AED, and practical skills.

 

*SWIM TEST REQUIRED.

 

Offered during spring and winter. Please see below for additional class information.

Includes LG Manual and CPR Mask

Members: $250 + tax

Non-Members: $300 + tax

Ages: 15+

Lifeguard Recertification Course

his course will review materials and skills needed to renew an existing American Red Cross lifeguard certification. Participants must pass a standardized swim test, attend a review class, complete written exams, and in-water skills testing.

Spring Break

The FULL LG courses are BLENDED LEARNING courses and will require online content to be completed after passing the Swim Evaluation but before the first in-person class day.

 

Registered participants must attend the swim evaluation >> Then they will be given access to the American Red Cross online learning material.  They will have one week to complete the online material before the In-Person class sessions begin.

  • Monday, March 25:  6:00-8:00 p.m. - Pool 2

Pre-course eLearning content must be completed by March 31.

In-Person Sessions 

  • Monday, April 1:  9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

  • Tuesday, April 2:  9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. 

  • Wednesday, April 3:  9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

  • Thursday, April 4:  9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. 

  • Friday, April 5:  FULL SKILLS REVIEW 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

 

Written Exams & Final Scenarios

  • Saturday, April 6:  9:00 a.m. - until finished (no later than 5:00 p.m.)

May (Weekends)

The RECERTIFICATION courses are in-person courses and require the participant to have a current ARC LG certification.  Recerts will complete the Swim Evaluation on the first day.  If they are unsuccessful in the Swim Evaluation they will be removed from the recertification course.
