Occupational Therapist

Full job description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational

Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will

provide high-quality therapeutic services to patients across various

settings, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and skilled nursing

facilities. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing

individualized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic

interventions to enhance patients' functional abilities and overall

quality of life.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical,

emotional, and social needs.

● Develop and implement personalized treatment plans

tailored to each patient's goals and abilities.

● Provide direct therapy services in various settings, including

inpatient acute care and skilled nursing facilities.

● Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure

coordinated patient care.

● Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques

and strategies for improving daily living skills.

● Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as

necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.

● Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments,

treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with

regulatory standards.

● Stay informed about advancements in occupational therapy

practices and participate in professional development

opportunities.

Qualifications:

● Masters Degree or Doctorate Degree in Occupational

Therapy

● Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy as it

relates to occupational therapy practices.

● Experience working with diverse populations, including

pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities, autism

spectrum disorders, and those requiring acute care.

● Excellent patient care skills with a focus on empathy and

understanding of individual needs.

● Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

while also demonstrating independence in clinical

decision-making.

● Proficient in developing engaging therapeutic activities that

promote skill development and rehabilitation.

● Strong communication skills for effective interaction with

patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

● Organizational skills to manage multiple cases while

maintaining attention to detail in documentation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
